Wordsworth Cottage
Patterdale, Penrith, Cumbria CA11 0NP

Wordsworth Cottage is a cosy Grade 11 Listed cottage built in 1670, in a quite location in the picturesque village of Patterdale and 1 mile from Glenridding and the shores of Ullswater. Once owned by the well-known poet William Wordsworth, a friendly welcome awaits you to this historical cottage where we offer 2 newly renovated, comfortable and individually decorated double/twin rooms with en-suite bathrooms and tea/coffee facilities.

There are no TV's in the rooms for your added peace and quiet, but we have a cosy sitting room to watch TV. We also have a drying room and off road parking.

A hearty English Breakfast cooked on the aga will set you up for the day ahead where the area has lots to offer.
The cottage is ideally situated for walking with the towering Helvellyn visible from the front door and being only 100 metres from the fell gate leading you onto Place fell and the High street range for the Coast-to-Coast walk, and 200 metres from the path of the popular lakeshore walk that takes you to Howtown or Pooley Bridge where you can return on the steamer.

Bed and Breakfast costs £29 per person per night (single rates available).
