Pottergate Guest House is a handsome, Grade Two listed property, which dates back to the 1800's. It is conveniently situated, approximately two minutes from Richmond's impressive market place, where you can visit the town's many Museums and it's Norman Castle. The fast-flowing River Swale is just a short walk away, where you can sit and contemplate the next part of your journey.

Richmond has a compact feel to it and is the biggest 'centre' that you will encounter on your Coast to Coast trek. You will be able to find almost all the supplies you'll need from a pair of fresh socks to a copy of the Financial Times!

The owner of Pottergate House, Barbara Firby, is a delightful host and prides herself in making walkers feel 'right at home'. She is happy to prepare an evening meal for you, so ask her about this service when you book.

Pottergate Guest House consists of two doubles (ensuite), two twins, one family room and one single, all of which are tastefully decorated and furnished. B & B in 2007 costs from £23 per night.
