"Gillercombe" is situated in the heart of England's most beautiful valley, Borrowdale. The house is ideally placed for mountain views in every direction.

It is directly on the route of the Coast to Coast Walk and there are two pubs within minute's walk for evening meals and refreshments. The village shop also offers packed lunches for your onward journey.

The rooms available are one double, two twins and one single, all rooms have hand basins and there is a separate bathroom, shower and toilet.

Bed and Breakfast starts at £27 per person per night in 2008 with a full English breakfast and vegetarian alternative.

Walkers can also camp for £5.50, with showers and toilet facilities. Dogs are not allowed.
